Century ENT is proud to offer Genio, an innovative treatment option for patients with obstructive sleep apnea. This FDA-approved solution is designed for sleep apnea sufferers who cannot tolerate CPAP therapy.

Genio is a battery-free, leadless neurostimulator that works inside your body to treat the root cause of obstructive sleep apnea. It is implanted during a minimally invasive, outpatient procedure through a single small incision.

How Genio Works

Genio delivers gentle bilateral stimulation to the hypoglossal nerve — the nerve that controls your tongue and upper airway muscles — keeping your airway open during sleep. The implanted device has no battery or leads. It is powered wirelessly each night through a small, disposable patch worn under the chin.

A companion smartphone app allows you to track your progress and adjust stimulation levels over time. Genio is also compatible with 1.5T and 3T MRI scans.

Genio Might Be Right for You

You may be a candidate for Genio if:

• You have moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea (AHI between 15 and 65).
• You are unable to use CPAP or have not had consistent benefit from it.
• You are not significantly overweight.
• You are over the age of 18.
