Care Philosophy
“Whether it’s inpatient or outpatient care, I strive to provide patient centered care and advocate for the patient’s best interest. I hope to bring some ‘joy’ to everyone and leave a positive impact.”
Background
With previous experience as an OR Nurse, Joy was inspired to become a nurse practitioner. She missed the continuity of care with the patients she saw and often wondered how those patients were healing. She hopes that this will allow her to build rapport, promote continuity of care, and be an active member in many surgical candidates plans of care.
Joy works alongside our ENT physicians as a surgical assist, in creating treatment plans, clinical examinations, and follow-up/post-op care. Her areas of interest include head and neck oncology, reconstructive surgery, and otology.
In her free time, Joy enjoys spending time with her husband and family, working out, and coaching or playing volleyball.
