Background

Born and raised in New York, Dr. Elliot Koo discovered his passion for otolaryngology early in his medical training, drawn to the specialty’s anatomy, problem-solving nature, and its ability to make a direct impact on patients’ lives. He is committed to delivering university-level care in a community setting, ensuring that patients across the Chicagoland region receive the highest standard of treatment with a personalized approach.

Dr. Koo completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he gained extensive experience managing a wide range of ENT conditions. To further refine his expertise, he pursued a fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto, training at Toronto General Hospital, ranked #3 in the world by Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals 2024.

An internationally published physician, Dr. Koo has contributed to advancements in otolaryngology, head and neck cancer, and reconstructive surgery. His research and clinical work reflect his dedication to innovation, evidence-based care, and improving patient outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Koo enjoys traveling, hiking, playing soccer, music, and staying active through exercise.
